A história da Revolução Russa de fevereiro de 1917

Resumo: No presente artigo, Kevin Murphy comenta os eventos que acabaram eclodindo na Revolução de Fevereiro, destacando as tensões internas na esquerda russa sobre um processo que acabou alterando profundamente a história mundial. Aqui, Murphy demonstra como trabalhadores – e especialmente trabalhadoras – mobilizaram-se em torno de temas como a fome e a guerra para enfrentar a ordem czarista e derrubar o regime autocrático russo.

The history of the Russian Revolution of February 1917.

Abstract: In the following article, Kevin Murphy comments the events that ended up bronken out in February Revolution, pointing the internal tensions in the Russian left about a process that deeply changed the world History. Here, Murphy demonstrates how the workers – especially the working women – mobilize themselves around issues as the hunger and the war to struggle against the Tsarist order and strike down the autocratic Russian regime.

Resumo: Neste artigo pretendemos refletir sobre as afinidades eletivas entre o pós-neoliberalismo e o neodesenvolvimentismo, investigando algumas de suas bases políticas, econômicas e sociais a partir da experiência brasileira recente. A Wahlverwandtschaft empregada aqui como uma mediação para, em primeiro lugar, identificarmos a convergência ativa entre ambas as ideologias; em segundo lugar, e por decorrência, a fim de analisarmos em que medida elas tendem à ordem social presente, produzindo e reproduzindo contradições insuperáveis.

Wahlverwandtschaft: post-neoliberalism and new-developmentism in Brazil

Abstract: In this article we intend to discuss on the elective affinities between post-neoliberalism and new-developmentism, investigating some of their political bases, economic and social from the recent Brazilian experience. The Wahlverwandtschaft is used here as a mediation to firstly, identify the active convergence between the two ideologies; secondly, and consequently, in order to analyze to what level they tend to present social order, producing and reproducing insurmountable contradictions.

Resumo: O Estado vem sendo estudado de diversas perspectivas, porém nenhuma teoria isolada pode compreende-lo completamente e explicar suas complexidades. O Estado e o sistema interestatal comportam-se como um alvo móvel devido a sua complexa lógica de desenvolvimento e em virtude do fato de haver diversas tentativas de transforma-los. Além do mais, apesar das tendências de reificar o Estado e trata-lo como pairando acima e fora da sociedade, não pode haver teoria adequada do Estado sem uma teoria ampla da sociedade. Pois, o Estado e o sistema político são partes de um conjunto mais amplo de relações sociais e nenhum projeto estatal ou de poder estatal pode ser adequadamente entendido separado deste conjunto.

The State and the State-building

Abstract: The state has been studied from many perspectives but no single theory can fully capture and explain its complexities. States and the interstate system provide a moving target because of their complex developmental logics and because there are continuing attempts to transform them. Moreover, despite tendencies to reify the state and treat it as standing outside and above society, there can be no adequate theory of the state without a wider theory of society. For the state and political system are parts of a broader ensemble of social relations and neither the state project or the state power can be adequately understood outside their embedding in this ensemble.
